Terms of Service
Loop Labs ("Loop Labs", "we", "us") produces videos for the YouTube channels of the creators we work with. These terms apply when you work with us, use this website (www.looplabs.media), or connect a YouTube channel to us (together, the "Service"). By doing any of those things you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The short version. We make videos for the channels of the creators we work with. You keep ownership of your channel and your content. Every video we deliver lands on your channel as a private draft that get's reviewed and publish by a human. You can disconnect your channel at any time. How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Loop Labs is operated by Jason Russak. We work with a small number of YouTube creators to plan and produce videos for their channels. This website is where a creator connects their channel to us and where the people working on a channel can see how the videos are performing.
2. Working with us
- We work with creators by invitation. If we give you access to this website, you sign in with your Google account and we create an account for you from the name, email address and profile picture Google provides.
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to work with us.
- Use this website only for lawful purposes and only in connection with channels you own or have been authorised to work on. Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
3. Connecting your YouTube channel
- A channel is connected only by its owner. A member of the Loop Labs team sends you a one-time connect link. When you open it, Google asks which account and channel to use and shows you a consent screen listing exactly what we are asking for. You do not need an account on this website to do this, and the link stops working after it is used or after 24 hours.
- Connecting a channel gives us only the permissions shown on that screen: to view your YouTube account, to view YouTube Analytics reports for your content, and to upload videos. Nothing more.
- With that access we read the channel's details, the details of the videos we uploaded, and your analytics reports, so we can see how videos perform. We upload a video and its thumbnail only when a member of the Loop Labs team starts an upload. Every upload lands as a private draft on your channel. Review and publishing happen on YouTube.
- We never make a video public, and never edit, schedule, delete or comment on any video after the upload. We never touch playlists, captions or channel settings.
- You can revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions, which takes effect immediately, or by asking us to disconnect the channel, in which case we revoke the credential at Google and delete our stored copy.
- Loop Labs uses YouTube API Services to connect to your channel. By connecting a channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Your channel and your content
You keep every right you have in your channel, your existing videos, and anything you give us or add on this website. You give us permission to store, display and process that material only as needed to work with you, for example to review a plan you wrote or to upload a thumbnail you approved. You confirm that you have the rights needed for anything you provide and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
The videos we produce for your channel are covered by the agreement between you and Loop Labs. Nothing in these terms changes that agreement, and if the two ever conflict, that agreement wins.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it, including our handling of Google user data. It forms part of these terms.
6. Ending or changing things
We may change, suspend or stop any part of this website or the way we work with you at any time. We may also remove access from anyone who breaks these terms or who we reasonably believe is misusing the Service. You can stop working with us, disconnect your channel, or ask us to close your account at any time.
7. No warranty
This website and everything we provide through it are offered "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep things working well, but we do not promise that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any video will perform in a particular way. YouTube is operated by Google, and we are not responsible for how YouTube handles, displays, ranks or monetises your videos.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Loop Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost revenue, data or goodwill, arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant we will tell you on the website or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to work with us after that means you accept the new terms.
